History

Every day on Ukrainian roads over 20 people are killed and about 100 are injured that often results in disability. As for the accidents death rate per 100 000 of population, our country occupies fifth position in Europe. About one third of deaths in accidents are young people under 25 years old.

To be aside of this problem is irresponsible. It needs to be urgently solved at the global, national and regional levels. The key goal of the All-Ukrainian non-governmental organization “Ukrainian Road Safety Association” is to change the behavior of road traffic participants, to attract attention of the authorities to the scale of the problem, to unite efforts of state, public, commercial sectors and mass media in order to reduce deaths and injuries on the roads.

All-Ukrainian non-governmental organization “Ukrainian Road Safety Association” was founded in January, 2008. It was initiated by Ukrainian Insurance House and Ukrainian Defense Assistance Association. Today “Ukrainian Road Safety Association” is represented in all regional centers of Ukraine and in the Crimea Autonomous Republic.
